Great run tonight in beautiful Manchester sunshine.
Tonight was also my first run wearing my new road ID band. It has all my contact details on should anything happen while I'm out running. It's one of those things that I hope never to need to use, but I know if anything does happen my family will be contacted.
The irony is that I nearly needed it tonight as a taxi must have thought I was related to Mystic Meg as he decided to turn without indicating. Obviously he missed me, but I made my feelings felt!!
Anyone who runs on their own should seriously consider getting a Road ID, I got mine from the US. I'm not sure why, but they are cheaper both to buy and be shipped from the States rather than get the UK equivalent. That and the guys that make them have my kind of sense of humor!
It's clearly hard for me to describe what they are as Jan thought I was getting a metal chain with my name on. Oh no, this is good stuff, laser engraved light weight band with my name, and four contact numbers.
