Tough run this morning, that wind was back again making the run up the hill hard work. I wanted to run to Heaton Park, round it a bit then back home which should have give me a run of about 17-18k. However once again I forgot to check the route properly in advance. So I knew how to get to the park, but not where the entrance was! So I ran to the edge of the park and back. Oh well it was somewhere different to run to and I'll know for next time!
Mother-in-laws, there are lots of jokes about them. But I'm not going to do any because mine is a head teacher. They are scary. However she tells me that I'm a geek and like a good stat. Guilty on both counts m'lord. So, here is Septembers running stats round up. This one's for you Judith!
Lets start with this week, which has been a bit of a record breaker in terms of distance. Since Monday I've ran 58.56k (36m) which dwarfs my average distance of about 35k (21m). Guess this is partly down to being off work and being able to do two long runs in a week (today and Tuesday).
September is the first month I've ran over 160k (100m) in a month. I was close in August but I've smashed it in September with a total of 179k (111m)

To date I have ran a total of 566k (351m) which considering I never thought I'd be able to run a mile without stopping is really impressive!
I'm now in training for the Stockport 10 mile race in December so need to be consistently doing that distance (and maybe a little more) every weekend. So I'm guessing the monthly stats will keep going up and up! But before I do that I'm having a rest and going to Jamie's Italian for a nice slap up meal - I think I've earned it!
