Distance: 6.96km
Time: 32:49
I'd forgot to cover this on Sunday, so this blog is a bit of a backtrack.
As you can see from the Endomondo stats at the top of the page I've broken the 320km mark for my running. I think this actually happened just after I started my run on Sunday morning, but what with being so pleased about doing 14k+ in one run it got missed.
I'm made up to have broken this milestone (no pun intended), as when I first went out for a run back in May I'd impressed myself by just doing a mile without keeling over! A 5k run felt like a marathon, 10k was something I'd never be able to do. Now I'm looking at completing my first 10 mile run this Sunday!
Some of my friends think I'm completely mad to enjoy running - I think one comment was "it's shit and leaves you knackered". Not true, even when it does leave me feeling "knackered" I still feel great knowing I've put my best into it. Hopefully I can clock up many more miles over the winter and be ready for the Great Manchester Run next May (registration opens 3/9/12 - I'll be signing up that day!) maybe some of my doubting friends could come and see how much I'm enjoying it...
Not a lot to say about tonight's run apart from it was hot. On the plus side living in Manchester that wont be a problem again for a while. Never planned on going too far after Sundays big run, did feel I could go further which was good but I felt it best no to press too much with race days rapidly approaching.
