Distance: 11.52km
Time: 1:00:21
Today was my first one hour run. Strangely the route I took lasted exactly an hour at the pace I went at - I'd planned to do an hour run to see if a) I could do an hour and b) see how far I could go. Pleased to have done "an hour" no real need to as I'll the runs I'm doing are all 10k but I'm sure it'll will help in the long run. (no pun intended)
It was nice to have a run today in the sunshine, maybe summer has finally appeared? As the sun was out I took a water bottle with me for the first time. Big mistake! By the time I needed it the water was warm and I couldn't get any out of the bottle! Good job I had a tenner with me I finished at a Co-op so went in and handed over a sweaty £10 note for a bottle of Diet Coke.
Now on to the rant...
Today I was wearing a bright red running top with my blight lime green running shoes so you can't really miss me. To be fair people do see me and are very polite and will give me room or stop their car and let me cross which I admit is great.
So, why can't people do this for my wife, Jan, who is on crutches because she's torn her cartilage? People either decide not to see her, or for some strange reason give her dirty looks! You'd think people would be more likely to help the lady struggling to get about than the bloke who's half way through an 11k run get by but there you go.
Rant over. Sorry about that but had to get it out of my system.
