Running in The Rain

This run wasn't about speed, distance, lap times or any of that stuff. Today was down as a rest day, but as I didn't run last night I wanted to go out. It's been a long week so I just went out the door and ran where I ran with an empty mind and relaxed.

I live in Manchester and given the appalling weather we've been having here it may surprise many you to know tonight was only my second run in the rain. Had a bit of drizzle before but that's nothing.

It's refreshing running in the rain, cools me down and chills me out.

What was funny running tonight was the bloke in his car who drove through the giant puddle while I went past. Be he feels big and important now. I gave him the "wanker" sign to keep up appearances but did he really think he was going to drench me? I'm out running in the rain, I'm already wet! If anything it was a nice free shower to cool me down. Oh well I bet he feels dead big and clever tonight. Good for him.

parkrun tomorrow morning, and hopefully the first time Jan will come and see me run, so I'd better put on a good show for her!!
